In business and industry on both projects and processes, risk is obviously present. Unlike everyday views of risk, most organizations treat risk as neither positive nor negative, but neutral. Certain situations allow for more risk which leads to higher reward and less planning costs or workarounds. Other situations must avoid risks at all costs and use careful planning, executing, and tracking tools.
